Architectural Workshop

An architectural immersive workshop has taken place to guide the students in their design where various university professors participated in giving lectures and other means of guidance to the student. On the final day of the workshop 2nd of February 2017 The students of architecture who are participating in the solar decathlon middle East have showcased their conceptual ideas on Al Bayt Al Kamel project. During this public event students and professors from architecture and other majors have taken part in the jury process where they were engaged in discussing the projects with their designers and sharing information. Four different concepts were presented during that day, all containing innovative solutions for modern housing. Moreover, three important lectures were given during that day as means of widening the horizons of the students participating in the competition. Two of these were revolving around innovative concepts in modern housing while the third was mainly concerned with concepts used in traditional housing which provides help in understanding what type of design needed in such climatic conditions and cultural heritage.
